How they work
A wall that opens
A folding door is a run of glass panels hinged together. They fold flat against each other and stack to one or both sides, opening most of the wall. A multi-slide runs the panels on a track and stacks them instead of folding. Either way a solid glass wall turns into an open one, then closes back to a sealed weather barrier when you want it shut.

Built for the valley
Open in spring, sealed in July
An opening wall earns its keep here for the months it’s comfortable, spring and fall on a patio, an evening in the shoulder season. What matters just as much in this climate is how it closes: the seals and the glass have to shut out the summer heat when the wall is closed. We set the system so it opens easily and seals properly, and we’ll steer you to insulated, low-E glass for the closed months.
Where they go
Indoor to outdoor
- Restaurants and bars opening to a patio
- Homes opening to a yard or pool deck
- Showrooms and retail fronts
- Offices and event spaces
For a fixed patio enclosure rather than an operable wall, see patio and pool glass.
Who does the work
Measured and set by our own crew
These systems live and die on the install, a wall-wide door has to be square, level and true or it won’t run right. It’s our own scope, self-performed. We’re licensed Nevada C-8 with an unlimited bid limit, we measure the opening ourselves, and we set the system and the glass. Send the opening and we’ll quote it.
