Superintendent

Brent is a Superintendent and Master Glazier with an impressive 42 years of experience in the glazing industry. Originally from Canada, Brent is currently working on becoming an American citizen. His move to the U.S. was inspired by meeting his wife and son, and he now proudly calls the U.S. home. Brent is a devoted father to three grown children, and his little Sophie remains his pride and joy.

Kari

Project Manager / Office Manager

Kari is the project manager and office manager for Silver State Glass & Mirror, with six years of experience in the glazing industry. Kari and her spouse are happily married and have a blended family of seven grown children. Now that the kids have left the nest, Kari and her husband have embraced the companionship of their beloved Bull Mastiffs, Bossy and Bama Bear, who have become their cherished “children.”

Samantha “Sam”

Estimator

Samantha is a valued estimating team member at Silver State Glass & Mirror. Since joining the company in 2017, she has progressed from a front desk customer service representative to leading the Service Department. Now, with her extensive experience, she has become a highly skilled estimator. Her journey has been fueled by hard work and a dedication to learning. Outside of work, Samantha is a devoted mom of two children, has a loving husband, and two large dogs that complete her family. Being a mom is her top priority.

Cynthia

Service Department Coordinator

Cynthia is the service department coordinator at Silver State Glass & Mirror. Originally from the Golden State, she transitioned from a 25-year career in the corporate skincare industry, seeking a change in life and something smaller than the corporate business environment. Now, she brings her experience and passion to a more personal and close-knit setting where she thrives.

Kelly

Head of Estimating

Kelly brings over 31 years of unparalleled experience in the glazing industry. During this time, he honed his craft as a Journeyman Union Glazier, dedicating 23 years to union work, where he mastered the trade. With a strategic transition into estimating, Kelly has excelled in this role, bringing deep expertise in AutoCAD and precision in glazing shop drawings and take-offs. He is an invaluable asset to Silver State Glass & Mirror, where he now serves as the Head of Estimating.

Eric Hooiman is recognized for his knack for rescuing struggling businesses and transforming them into thriving ventures. With a background in business, engineering, gold mining, and entrepreneurship, Eric’s journey is marked by his unwavering determination and innovative approach to problem-solving. After his career in mining, Eric ventured into real estate and other business ventures alongside his wife, Tera, who shares his business savvy. Together, they’ve owned and managed various enterprises, including apartment buildings. Eric’s ability to improve businesses stems from his knack for effective management and strategic growth. He believes in simplifying processes, utilizing resources wisely, and constantly innovating to enhance business performance. In real estate, Eric identifies lucrative opportunities and makes savvy investments. He generates income and expands his portfolio by acquiring and managing apartment buildings. Eric’s story involves perseverance, continual improvement, and sharp decision-making. Whether in mining, real estate, or any other venture, his dedication to success and adept problem-solving make him a respected leader in the business world.

Tera Hooiman

Tera Hooiman is a seasoned entrepreneur and the owner of Silver State Glass and Mirror Co. in Las Vegas, established in 1953. An 8th generation Nevadan, Tera’s diverse career spans 12 years as an event company owner in Elko, service on the City of Elko Planning Commission, and roles on various 501(c) boards. A licensed Realtor and Notary, she enjoys family time with her husband Eric, their two children, Alauna and Drake, and her Frenchie, Moose.
