Custom Glass Table Tops

A glass table top protects your furniture investment while adding a clean, polished look. We cut glass tops for dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, patio tables, conference tables, and reception desks. Options include clear glass (standard), low-iron ultra-clear glass (no green tint — ideal over white or light surfaces), tinted glass (grey, bronze), and frosted/satin glass.

Glass tops are available in any shape — rectangle, square, round, oval, or custom shapes cut to match your table’s profile. We work from your measurements or template, or we can measure on-site for larger pieces.

Glass Thickness Options

1/4″ glass: Standard for protective covers over furniture, shelving, and cabinet glass. Lightweight and cost-effective.

3/8″ glass: Mid-weight option for table tops where durability matters but the table has a supporting surface underneath.

1/2″ glass: Heavy-duty option for table tops that sit on a pedestal or base where the glass is the primary surface. Substantial feel and premium appearance.

3/4″ glass: Ultra-premium for high-end conference tables and feature furniture. Statement piece thickness.

Edge Finishing Options

The edge treatment on your glass defines its look and safety. We offer three primary edge finishes:

Flat polish: A clean, smooth, polished edge with a modern look. The most popular choice for table tops and desk glass. The edge is ground flat and polished to a transparent finish.

Pencil polish: A slightly rounded edge that is polished smooth. Softer appearance than flat polish, excellent for coffee tables and surfaces where comfort matters.

Beveled edge: An angled cut along the edge that creates a decorative border. Beveled edges catch light and add visual interest. Popular for mirrors and high-end table tops. Available in various bevel widths.

All our edges are polished smooth for safety — no sharp edges on any finished piece.

Other Cut Glass Applications

Desk Glass and Desk Pads

Protect your desk surface with a custom-cut glass pad. Provides a smooth writing surface, protects the wood or laminate underneath, and makes cleanup easy. We cut desk glass to fit any desk shape, including L-shaped desks and corner units.

Glass Shelving

Custom glass shelves for display cases, built-in shelving units, bar areas, bathrooms, and retail displays. Available in clear, frosted, and tinted glass with your choice of edge finishing.

Cabinet Glass

Replacement glass for cabinet doors — kitchen cabinets, display cabinets, curio cabinets, and china hutches. Clear, frosted, textured, and decorative glass options available. We cut to your exact cabinet frame dimensions.

Protective Glass Covers

Glass covers for dressers, nightstands, credenzas, and any furniture surface you want to protect from scratches, stains, and water rings. Custom cut to fit, with polished edges for a finished look.

Hole Drilling and Cutouts

We drill holes and cut notches in glass for cable pass-throughs, mounting hardware, plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, and any other application that requires a penetration through the glass. Holes and cutouts must be made before tempering — if your glass needs to be tempered, we incorporate all cutouts in the fabrication process.

Tempering

We can temper any custom-cut glass piece for added safety and strength. Tempered glass is required in certain applications (near walkways, in commercial settings, elevated locations) and recommended for table tops in high-traffic areas or homes with children. All fabrication (cutting, drilling, edge finishing) is completed before tempering, as tempered glass cannot be modified after the tempering process.

Frequently Asked Questions About Glass Table Tops

Can I get a custom cut glass table top?

Yes. We custom cut glass table tops to any shape and size at our Las Vegas fabrication shop. Round, rectangular, oval, square, or any other shape. Bring your measurements or we can template an existing table top and replicate it exactly.

What glass thickness should a table top be?

For a dining table or desk in the 36 to 60 inch range, 3/8 inch tempered glass is the standard. Larger tables or coffee tables with heavier use benefit from 1/2 inch glass. Smaller accent tables can use 1/4 inch. We recommend the right thickness based on your table size and use.

Does a glass table top need to be tempered?

Yes. We use tempered safety glass for all table tops. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than standard glass and, if it breaks, shatters into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. Standard glass is a safety risk on a table, especially in a home with children.

What edge finishes are available for glass table tops?

We offer flat polish, pencil polish, and beveled edges. Flat polish gives a clean square edge. Pencil polish rounds the edge slightly for a softer feel. Beveled edges add a decorative angled border. We also drill holes for center poles or bolt-through hardware if your table design requires it.

How do you prevent a glass table top from sliding?

We supply clear rubber bumpers that sit between the glass and the table surface. These grip the glass and prevent sliding without scratching either surface. They are nearly invisible and work on wood, metal, or stone table bases.

How much does a custom glass table top cost?

A standard rectangular glass table top in the 36 by 60 inch range runs $150 to $350 in 3/8 inch tempered glass with polished edges. Round tops and custom shapes run slightly higher. Call (702) 382-1400 with your dimensions for an exact quote.
