Scope

We tint buildings, not vehicles

We do building window tint. We don’t tint cars.

No windshields, no car doors, no trucks, no RVs. If you want your car windows done, you need an automotive tint shop, and this isn’t it. What we do is solar and security film on the glass in homes, offices and storefronts. If you landed here for a car, this saves you a phone call.

Performance

What window film does in a Las Vegas summer

Film is the cheapest way to take the heat out of a room without touching the glass.

It rejects the sun’s heat before it gets inside, kills the glare on your TV and your screens, and blocks the UV that fades your floors, your furniture and your art. In a west-facing room that cooks every afternoon, that’s the difference between a room you use and a room you avoid.

High-performance architectural films reject a large share of the sun’s infrared heat and nearly all of its UV. The exact heat and UV rejection for the film we quote you appears on your quote. We spec the film to your exposure and your goal rather than push one product, and we give you the real numbers, not a savings percentage that depends on your house.

Film options

Film types

Different film for different jobs. Here’s what each one is for.

  • Solar and heat-control. The workhorse. Rejects heat and glare on hot glass.
  • Ceramic. Top heat rejection with almost no mirror look. Costs more, performs best.
  • Low-E film. Adds an insulating layer, helps in winter as well as summer.
  • Spectrally selective. Blocks heat while letting the daylight through, so the room stays bright.
  • Decorative. Frosted and patterned film for offices and glass partitions. See Decorative Film.
  • Privacy. One-way and blackout film for glass you don’t want people seeing through. See Privacy Glass.

Las Vegas exposure

Home window tint in Las Vegas for west and south-facing glass

This is the Las Vegas problem, and it’s specific.

Your west and south-facing windows take the full afternoon sun. That’s where the heat load is, where the glare is worst, and where the fading happens. Those are the rooms worth filming first, and often the only rooms that need it.

By knocking down that infrared load, film takes the bite off a west-facing room in the afternoon. We measure the orientation of your glass when we come out, and we tell you which windows are worth doing and which ones are not. You don’t have to film the whole house.

Film or replace

Film or replace the glass

Film isn’t always the answer. Here’s the honest line.

Film is the right call when your glass and frames are sound and the problem is heat, glare and fade. It’s a fraction of the cost of new windows and it goes on in a day, on a date we confirm once the film is in and the installer is scheduled.

Replacing the glass is the better call when the windows are single-pane, the seals have failed, or the frames are on their way out. At that point a dual-pane, low-E unit fixes the heat and the window in one move. See Window Replacement Las Vegas, and we’ll price both so you can compare.

Warranty

Warranty and lifespan

Film fails in extreme sun if it’s the wrong film or a bad install. So this is a fair question to ask up front.

We handle 3M and Xpel architectural film, both rated for desert exposure. Our labor is warrantied one year; the manufacturer warranty varies by film, with the exact terms on your quote. Ask what voids the warranty before you buy, and we’ll tell you plainly.

Before you buy

HOA and glass-breakage

Two things an honest installer tells you before the job, not after.

First, film on some dual-pane units can cause thermal stress and, in the wrong pairing, crack the glass or void the glass warranty. We check the make-up of your glass before we quote a film for it, and if a film is a bad match for your window, we say so.

Second, plenty of Las Vegas HOAs have rules on how exterior glass can look. We’ll help you pick a film that meets the rule so you’re not tearing it off after a letter from the board.

How it works

Process and timeline

  1. Measure. We come out, measure the glass, check orientation and the glass make-up.
  2. Order. We order the film for your windows.
  3. Install. We handle the film through an installer we’ve worked with for years, cleaned and set to the manufacturer’s spec, and we give you the schedule when we measure.
  4. Cure. The film needs time to dry fully and clear up. Give it about 24 hours before you clean the glass. A little haze or a few water pockets during cure is normal and it clears. We tell you this up front because it’s the most common thing people worry about when nobody warned them.

Commercial

Commercial tinting

Filming an office, a storefront or a whole building is a bigger job with its own page.

For square-footage pricing and commercial work, see Commercial Window Tinting Las Vegas. For Security Film that holds glass together against break-ins and blasts, we do that too.

FAQ

Residential window tinting FAQ

Do you tint car windows?
No, we tint buildings, not vehicles. Houses, offices, storefronts. No cars, no trucks, no RVs. If you want your car windows done you need an automotive tint shop. What we do is solar and security film on building glass. We handle it as a licensed glazier, not a film-only shop. Nevada C-8 unlimited #0004490A, and we’re rated 4.9 stars across 400+ Google reviews.
How much does window tinting cost in Las Vegas?
Solar film is the low end, ceramic is the high end. We measure your glass and quote the actual windows, and we’ll tell you which rooms are worth doing and which are not.
How much will film actually cut my cooling bill?
The benefit is real and biggest on west and south-facing glass that takes the afternoon sun. The top films reject up to 97% of the infrared heat. We measure your orientation and give you a straight estimate, not a sales number.
Will window film crack my dual-pane glass?
It can, on the wrong pairing. Film adds heat load to the glass, and some dual-pane units can’t take it. That’s why we check the make-up of your glass before we quote a film for it. If a film is a bad match for your window, we tell you and we won’t put it on.
How long does window film last in Las Vegas sun?
We use 3M and Xpel film rated for this climate and we stand behind the job. Cheap film in full Las Vegas sun bubbles and purples early, which is exactly why the brand and the install matter.
Is film cheaper than replacing the windows?
Yes, by a lot, when your glass and frames are sound. Film is a fraction of the cost of new windows and goes on in a day. If your windows are single-pane or the seals have failed, replacement fixes more for the money. See Window Replacement Las Vegas.
