ADA Door Compliance & Accessible Door Installation Las Vegas
Silver State Glass & Mirror installs ADA-compliant door systems for commercial buildings in Las Vegas. If your business has received an ADA complaint, is undergoing renovation, or needs to upgrade entrance accessibility, we provide the hardware, installation, and code knowledge to bring your doors into compliance.
ADA door requirements apply to virtually every commercial building open to the public. Non-compliance can result in lawsuits, fines, and forced closures. We work with business owners, property managers, and general contractors to assess existing doors and install compliant solutions. NV License #0050868.

ADA Door Requirements We Address
Automatic Door Operators. The most common ADA solution. We install low-energy automatic door operators that allow hands-free entry. Push-button, motion-sensor, and touchless activation options available. These operators mount on existing door frames in most cases.
Door Opening Force. ADA requires interior doors to open with no more than 5 pounds of force. If your door closers are set too tight or your hardware creates excessive resistance, we adjust or replace the components to meet the standard.
Door Width and Clear Opening. ADA requires a minimum 32-inch clear opening (most commercial doors are 36 inches). If your existing door frame is too narrow, we can modify the frame or install a wider door assembly.
Threshold Height. ADA limits door thresholds to 1/2 inch maximum (1/4 inch for existing buildings in some cases). We replace or modify thresholds that create tripping hazards or wheelchair barriers.
Hardware Requirements. ADA requires door hardware that can be operated with one hand, without tight grasping, pinching, or twisting. Lever handles, push/pull bars, and panic devices all meet this requirement. Round doorknobs do not. We replace non-compliant hardware with ADA-approved alternatives.
Who Needs ADA Door Upgrades
- Businesses receiving ADA complaints or violation notices
- Properties undergoing renovation or change of use
- Medical facilities, dental offices, and healthcare providers
- Retail stores, restaurants, and hospitality businesses
- Government buildings and public facilities
- Multi-tenant commercial properties and strip malls
- Any business open to the public with non-compliant door hardware
ADA compliance is not optional for businesses open to the public. The cost of an automatic door operator or hardware upgrade is significantly less than the cost of an ADA lawsuit.
