Glass work

Glazing and reglazing

Glazing is the trade of setting glass into a frame. Reglazing means replacing the glass in a window while keeping the frame and sash, which is the fix for a broken pane or a failed seal when the window itself is still sound.

If your frame is good and only the glass has gone, reglazing is the cheaper answer. If the frame is failing, replacement is the call. We do both, and we’ll tell you which one your window needs.

Choose the right fix

How to choose among window companies in Las Vegas

A quick way to point yourself at the right page:

  • Glass is broken or foggy, frame is fine → repair / reglaze.
  • Window is old, drafty, or the frame is shot → replacement.
  • The mesh is torn or you want to cut heat → screens.

Questions

Window services FAQ

Do you replace window screens?
Yes. Rescreen and rebuild frames. Full details on our Window Screens Las Vegas page.
What’s the difference between window repair and window replacement?
Repair keeps your window and fixes what’s wrong: the glass, the seal, the balance, the weatherstrip. Replacement swaps the whole window when the frame itself is failing. Repair is cheaper whenever the frame is sound, which is most of the time. See Home Window Repair Las Vegas or Window Replacement.
What is window reglazing?
Reglazing is replacing the glass in a window while keeping the frame and sash. It’s the fix for a broken pane or a fogged dual-pane unit when the window is otherwise fine, and it costs a fraction of a new window.
Do you do commercial windows as well as residential?
Yes. Same license, same shop, same standard. Nevada C-8 unlimited #0004490A. We’re rated 4.9 stars across 400+ Google reviews. For storefronts, partitions and commercial glass, see Commercial Glass.

Our own shop

We cut the glass ourselves

We cut and fabricate in our own shop, so a standard pane isn’t a special order and a simple repair doesn’t sit for a week. We don’t temper in house. Tempered glass is ordered in and made to size, because tempered glass can’t be cut. When a job needs it, like a door light or a big picture window, we order it to your measurements and set it. Everything else, we make in the shop and bring with us.

The process

How a window job runs

Every job starts the same way. You call, we measure, and you get a written quote, not a number over the phone. Once you approve it, glass is back in 3 to 5 business days. A few windows can go in the same day the glass lands, and a whole house is usually under a week. We don’t charge a trip fee anywhere in the valley when we get the job. If there’s ever a charge, it’s on the call up front, never added to the invoice. Warranty terms come with the quote, because they vary by product line and we won’t guess at them.

Both sides of the shop

Commercial and residential

We run both. Homeowners get repair, replacement and screens. On the commercial side we self-perform the glass scope, storefront, curtain wall, partitions and ADA door hardware, rather than brokering it out to another crew. If you run more than one location, an account means one point of contact and one vendor across all of them, with rates agreed up front.

Straight answers

What we don’t do

We’re a glass and glazing shop, so a few things sit outside what we take on, and we’d rather say so up front. We don’t do auto glass or windshields. We don’t wash windows. Window film we handle through a long-standing installer we’ve worked with for years, in 3M and Xpel, rather than something our own crew applies. Everything else with a pane of glass in it, from a broken bedroom window to a full storefront, is ours start to finish.

The common ones

Glass and window repair in Las Vegas

Most calls are a handful of the same problems. A cracked or broken pane, from a rock, a slammed door, or the heat working on old glass. A dual-pane unit that lost its seal and fogged up between the panes, which is a glass problem and not a cleaning problem. A slider that fights you because the rollers are worn flat. A balance or a spring that gave out, so the sash won’t stay up on its own. Worn weatherstrip letting the desert air straight in. A torn or sun-rotted screen. We stock what we can and cut the rest in our own shop, so most of these are a single trip, and simple repairs often go the same day.
