What shapes can you cut glass into?
We cut glass into any shape including rectangular, square, round, oval, arched, L-shaped, and completely custom profiles. We also drill holes for hardware, cut notches, and do angled cuts. If you can draw it, we can cut it.
What types of glass do you cut?
We cut clear float glass, tempered glass, frosted and obscure glass, tinted glass in gray, bronze, and blue-green, low-iron ultra-clear glass, mirrors, and specialty glass types. For tempered glass, all cuts, holes, and notches must be done before tempering because tempered glass cannot be cut or modified after the fact.
Can tempered glass be cut after it is made?
No. Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or modified after the tempering process without shattering it. Any cuts, holes, or edge work must be done on the raw glass before it goes into the tempering oven. We take your exact dimensions and complete all fabrication before tempering.
Do you cut glass to size for replacement?
Yes. Bringing exact measurements is all we need. We cut single pane glass, dual pane units, mirror glass, and specialty glass to replace broken or damaged pieces in existing frames, furniture, cabinets, and fixtures. Bring your old piece in or provide the dimensions and we cut it to match.
What is the thinnest and thickest glass you can cut?
We cut glass from 1/8 inch up to 3/4 inch depending on the glass type and application. For table tops and shelving, 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch is most common. Thinner glass is used for cabinet inserts and picture frame glass.
How long does custom glass cutting take?
Most standard cuts are completed same day or next day. Tempered glass requires additional time for the tempering process, typically two to four business days after we receive the final measurements. Walk-in cuts on standard glass types are often done while you wait.
