Sliding Glass Door Repair Las Vegas
Silver State Glass & Mirror repairs and replaces sliding glass patio doors for Las Vegas homeowners. If your patio door is stuck, hard to slide, foggy, cracked, or leaking air, we diagnose the problem and provide repair or replacement options.
Sliding glass doors are one of the most common repair calls we receive. Las Vegas heat, UV exposure, and temperature cycling wear out door components faster than in milder climates. Rollers dry out, tracks warp, seals fail, and glass panels fog.

Common Sliding Door Problems We Fix
Door is hard to open or stuck. Usually caused by worn rollers, a dirty or damaged track, or a door that has shifted out of alignment. We replace rollers, clean or replace the track, and realign the door in the frame.
Foggy or cloudy glass. Condensation between dual-pane glass means the IGU seal has failed. The glass unit needs to be replaced. We swap the glass without replacing the entire door frame.
Cracked or broken glass. We replace cracked sliding door glass panels with tempered safety glass. For emergencies, we offer 24/7 board-up and fast replacement.
Drafty door — air leaks. Worn weather stripping and seals let hot air in and conditioned air out. In Las Vegas, this directly increases your cooling bills. We replace weather stripping, interlocks, and pile seals.
Broken lock or latch. Sliding door locks and latches wear out. We replace mortise locks, hook locks, and handle sets to restore security.
Damaged screen door. We replace screen mesh, rollers, and frames for sliding screen doors.
Sliding Door Glass Replacement
When the glass panel itself needs to be replaced, we have two approaches:
Glass-only replacement. If the door frame and rollers are in good condition, we replace just the glass panel. We remove the door from the track, extract the old glass from the frame, install a new tempered or insulated glass panel, and reinstall the door. This saves the cost of a full door.
Full door replacement. If the frame is corroded, warped, or damaged beyond repair, we replace the entire sliding door assembly — frame, glass, rollers, track, hardware, and weather sealing.
We assess the door during our free estimate and recommend the most cost-effective approach based on the actual condition.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades
Las Vegas sliding patio doors are a major source of heat gain and energy loss. If your home has single-pane sliding doors, upgrading the glass to insulated dual-pane or Low-E units can reduce heat transfer by 30–50%.
We frequently upgrade older single-pane patio doors to insulated glass for Las Vegas homeowners who want to reduce cooling bills without replacing the entire door system.
Low-E coated glass is particularly effective in Las Vegas because it reflects infrared heat while allowing visible light through. Your patio stays bright without turning into a solar oven.
